overseer Jerry Almendarez said the Colton Joint Unified School District is determined to help students excel in the twenty-first Century . Colton Joint Unified School District ’ s priorities will continue to focus on literacy, skill, engineering, initiation, and collaboration, according to Superintendent Jerry Almendarez .

Among the groups De La Torre works with is the District English Learner Advisory Committee ( DELAC ). During their monthly meetings, DELAC discusses issues such as incontrovertible Behavioral Intervention Support ( PBIS ), College and Career set, and Financial Aid information for college .
