  1. Connect the Sound Bar to a TV

Depending on your television and Sound Bar system, the connections will differ.
First, check whether your television receiver has an HDMI concluding that supports Audio Return Channel ( ARC ). The HDMI input terminal that supports ARC will be labeled ARC.

note :

  • Connection examples are illustrated using the HT-CT660. Depending on your system, terminal locations will differ. Refer to the operating instructions for details.
  • If your Sound Bar comes with a Subwoofer, avoid leaving items on top of the Subwoofer. Because the Subwoofer produces vibrations, any items placed on top of it may fall.

If your television receiver has an HDMI terminal that supports ARC
If connecting to the latest BRAVIA models or any other television equipped with HDMI terminals that support ARC, use an HDMI cable television ( sold individually ) to connect the HDMI IN ( ARC ) terminal on the television to the television OUT ( ARC ) terminal on the Sound Bar.

notice : If you connect to an HDMI terminal without this label, the ARC function will not work .
If your television has an HDMI terminal ( without ARC ) and an optical digital audio out terminal
For some BRAVIA models and any other television that has an HDMI IN concluding that does not support ARC, use an HDMI cable ( sold individually ) to connect the HDMI IN terminal on the television to the television receiver OUT ( ARC ) terminal on the Sound Bar. then connect the television ‘s ocular digital audio output signal to OPTICAL IN on the Sound Bar. In rate to hear television audio, it is necessity to connect using an optical digital audio cord ( sold individually ) .

NOTES :

  • When you connect an external device to TV (without ARC) and Sound Bar, connect the HDMI cable (sold separately) from the external device to the TV. Then, connect the external device to the Sound bar using an optical cord (sold separately).
  • If you want to connect to just the TV, then the HDMI connection is unnecessary. (Power interlock, volume control using the TV’s remote control, etc. will not be possible.)

If your television does not have HDMI remark ( with ocular digital audio out terminal )
Connect the television receiver ‘s ocular digital audio output terminal to the OPTICAL IN end on the Sound Bar.

note : When early devices are connected to the Sound Bar via HDMI IN 1 to HDMI IN 3, the Sound Bar can play their sound recording, but the television screen can not display any images.

If your television does not have HDMI input ( without ocular digital audio out terminal )
Connect the television ‘s audio output terminal to the ANALOG IN terminal on the Sound Bar.

When connecting to a stereo mini terminal

  1. Output sound from the Sound Bar

After the connection, follow the steps below to output audio.

  1. Turn on your television .
  2. Turn on your Sound Bar.
  3. On your TV, switch the audio output setting from TV to audio system.

    eminence : Depending on the model, it may be necessary to switch the Sound Bar settings to TV. If no sound is output, check the settings of your Sound Bar system. For details on how to operate your Sound Bar system, refer to its operating instructions.
