The Sidney City School District is located in Sidney, Ohio, a community of approximately 20,000 people located in west-central Ohio. The Sidney City School District serves the City of Sidney and the Villages of Port Jefferson and Maplewood .

It is in Shelby County along the I-75 corridor between exits 90 and 94, 35 miles north of Dayton. In 2013, for the first time since the 1950s, Sidney High School offered a vo-ag program.
