College Will Extend Spring Break by One Week

Gettysburg College will extend spring break for one workweek, through Sunday, March 22, President Bob Iuliano announced Tuesday .
“ The extra week will provide us with the opportunity to understand more amply the evolution of the outbreak, including immediately that the first base cases have been reported in Pennsylvania, ” an e-mail sent to the campus residential district curtly after 8:00 post meridiem Tuesday said. “ It will besides enable us to be as good positioned as potential to resume classes, whether in person or on-line, as anticipated on March 23. ”

Bucknell University, located in Lewisburg, PA, announced Tuesday that it would transition to remote education for the remainder of the semester .
Classes are cancelled Monday, March 16, through Wednesday, March 18, 2020, so that staff and staff can plan for delivering distant educational activities. Classes will resume remotely on Thursday, March 19 .
