Our Sixth Form College
We have been helping students achieve their academic aims for about 30 years. We are the highest achieving sixth kind college in London, providing a rigorous academic course of study for young adults within an informal and friendly eruditeness environment. Making the properly choice of subjects is critical, and at Brampton we offer a crop of GCSE and A level courses and the steering and flexibility to meet the needs of each of our students. Being at sixth form is a crucial development period for young people, in both an cerebral and personal sense. This is why we offer an extensive plan of person support, mentoring and enrichment activities to build students ’ confidence and prepare them for their next steps .
Sixth Form Tutors
The teachers at Brampton College are highly dependent sixth shape specialists, well-practised in preparing young people for their A degree examinations and happy to provide personal guidance along the way. Many of the teachers have experience of examining.
Teaching occurs in minor groups at Brampton College. The average class size is seven, with a maximum of nine. This allows tutors to focus attention on each individual scholar, so that they all receive the support that they deserve .
Study Facilities
Brampton College is situated on an attractive purpose-built locate with great amenities. We have a sum of four laboratories ( all of which have been refurbished in the past two years ), a beautiful art studio, excellent computer facilities, a big supervised library, a GCSE suite, a scholar common room and other invaluable student break-out or survey areas .
GCSE and A Level Results
here at Brampton College, we are fabulously proud of our long-running history of outstanding results. Brampton College came 3rd nationally in the Department for Education ( DfE ) performance mesa of autonomous sixth form colleges ( published January 2020 ) and has come top of all sixth form colleges in London for the end 20 years*. In 2020 the DfE besides placed the College in the top 2 % of schools and colleges in the state and 5th in London*, for the A level Progress Score, which measures how much build up students have made from GCSE to A flush – an especial accomplishment. In 2021, 75.7 % students at Brampton achieved A*/A grades and 92.6 % A*- B grades. furthermore, in 2021, 72 % of our students were placed at their first gear choice university, of which over 80 % Russell Group universities.
Our GCSE results are besides systematically impressive. 2019 – 2021, 22.6 % of our students achieved the acme rate of 9 ( worth more than the former A* grade ) – compared to the national average of 8.2 %. ISI / Ofsted Inspection
When the College was stopping point visit by Ofsted, both the quality of education overall and the quality of teaching and appraisal were judged to be “ great ”. This judgment of the College was confirmed in our latest integrated inspection by ISI, where academic and other scholar achievements, their personal development and the government of the College were all judged to be excellent. The report commented,
The College is highly successful in achieving its aims of fostering high academician outcomes and at the same time boosting students ’ capacity for vigorous autonomous academician attempt and personal organization .
